British Museum

Still having an amazing time during my internship at Habitat,
But, just been informed that I've been offered a part time internship at the British Museum.
Maybe my dream of being the artist in residence there will come true after all.

Recently

Recently I've been a bit lazy on the design front. Since finishing uni i've been working hard at my 'for the time being' job (as a waitress) to try and get back on my feet financially and unfortunately this has not been leaving me any time or energy to do design work.
massive cop out and silly excuses but I'm planning on starting some drawing and maybe going on a few research trips next week before starting my internship at Habitat in october.
Really excited about that.
Went to the Damien Hirst exhibition last week which was very interesting to see. Loved the butterfly room!

Final Visualisations: Co-ordinating collection.

More Visualisations: Colour collection

The Drapings from the colour collection.

As with all my in situ drapings I own the copyright to the wallpaper design but the image it is placed into is from another source. In this case mostly Elle Decoration and World of interiors magazines.

Some final visualisations

Due to the large scale nature of my wallpaper collections it is diffficult to get a full picture of what the designs would look like in a room or wallpapered space. Therefore I have done some in situ drapings to show what they would look like in repeat and to scale.
Here are the Drapings from the black and white collection.

Co-ordinating designs

A few photos of the process of printing my co-ordinating design samples. A bit more random than the previous planned ones but i added in a few more colours that I mixed during the colour experimentation stage.
