Final Major Project Inspiration.

So my first idea for final major project was to focus on elements from previous projects that worked well. As is usual for me I'm planning to research some area of ethnic or indigenous artifact/ dress or sculpture.
this time I'm thinking areas relating to rituals and spiritual significance.

After a visit to the British Museum Anthropology Library i have narrowed down my area of interest to a few places, specifically Nigeria and Madagascar, as yet my subject is sill broad and open to change but it's all got to start somewhere.

Whilst doing research I found some amazing books with some beautiful images of madagascan funerary sculpture poles as well as nigerian masquerade ceremonies.

Work placements

As soon as i've recovered from this dissertation I'm gonna be updating my c.v and putting together a selection to send out to try and get work placements.
Still hoping for one at Marimekko, persistence wins in the end, even if I'm 90 by the time i get to finland.
Anyone interested in a taking a printed textiles student for a work placement starting summer 2012 let me know...
