Co-ordinating design work.

So today i've been working on a few ideas for co-ordinating designs using simple shapes from my drawings and textures from my painted shapes.

What I'm doing today: Wallpaper tests to scale

Today i've been digitally printing a wallpaper design test to scale, just to see how the scale and composition works. Bear in mind the final design will actually be screen printed.
Quite happy with the look of it.

Definately got a bit over excited to be home for easter. Instead of finishing my collection designs i have been drinking tequila and do anything but work.
Maybe i'll have easter weekend off then start again on tuesday!

A few of the more successful colour screen tests.

Loving the light (cream) printed over the darker background. I'm gonna experiment a bit more with differnt amounts of paint in the binder to bump up the opacity....hopefully.

Not quite the red I wanted, was aiming for strawberry, definately more of a raspberry shade.

Beautiful sample with the pale mushroom on top of a darker brown. Possible final colour way.

Another possibility.

Sneaking a bit of orange in there. Bit of cheating.

Nice dense layer of pale grey over the top. 

Using a bit of blue, Nice change for me I think.

Dark grey/pale grey.

Screen printing is my one true love

Bit more screenprinting. Definately cheered up a crappy day which started with me wishing to be at home for easter. But last day printing before I go home for easter for a week.
A few more photos. just cant get enough.
Also I think I've gone insane with my colour mixes, 27 and counting, although I have been silly organised with my labelling, writing down the paint recipes and what layer I've been printing everything.
So organised for such a messy person.
